What are the steps to adopt a cat at Sisters Whiskers?

If you are interested in adopting a cat, the first step is to fill out an adoption application.  Once your application is approved, you will be contacted to set up a meet-and-greet appointment.  If you decide that the cat is a good fit, you will be able to take home your new family member that day!

Can I meet multiple cats at once?

We can often have multiple cats available for you to meet during your appointment, however it is not guaranteed.  Since we are a foster-based rescue, we must coordinate appointment times with the foster owners.  If you are interested in meeting multiple cats at once, it is best to choose multiple kittens in one litter to meet as they are usually located in the same foster home.

Another way to meet multiple cats at once is to attend our adoption events.  These events are usually located at a local pet supply stores and are posted on our website.  We bring multiple cats to these events in hopes of finding them new homes.

How much does it cost to adopt?

Adoption fees vary in price and are based on several factors.  Adoption fees for kittens under 1 year of age are typically $100-200.  Adult cats over 1 year of age are typically $50-150 to adopt.  All adoptable cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and current on age appropriate vaccinations.  These fees help offset the cost of care provided to our cats prior to adoption and allow us to continue helping more cats in need.
